Villa Müller
Das in den Jahren 1928–1930 im Prager Střešovice erbaute Haus sah Adolf Loos als sein Meisterwerk an, da der aufgeklärte und wohlhabende Baumeister František Müller dem Architekten völlige Freiheit bei der Gestaltung des Hauses ließ. Loos nutzte die Möglichkeiten seines Raumplans und den Zauber exotischer Materialien vollstens aus und schuf eines der Juwele der modernen Architektur mit globaler Bedeutung. Heute gehört die Villa Müller der Stadt Prag, die sie gekauft und in ihren ursprünglichen Zustand zurückversetzt hat. Im Mai 2000 wurde die Villa der Öffentlichkeit zugänglich gemacht.
Müllerova vila
Dům postavený v pražských Střešovicích v letech 1928–1930 považoval Adolf Loos za své vrcholné dílo, neboť osvícený a bohatý stavebník František Müller nechal architektovi při navrhování domu naprostou tvůrčí svobodu. Loos naplno využil možností svého Raumplanu i kouzla exotických materiálů a vytvořil jeden z klenotů moderní architektury celosvětového významu. Müllerova vila dnes patří městu Praze, jež ji zakoupilo, uvedlo do původního stavu a v květnu 2000 zpřístupnilo veřejnosti.
Villa Müller
Adolf Loos considered the Villa Müller his best design. It was built in 1928–1930 for a rich businessman František Müller who offered Loos both sufficient funds and creative freedom. The combination of the Raumplan and exotic materials creates one of the crown jewels of modern architecture. Villa Müller is in the hands of the City of Prague today. After careful reconstruction, the house was opened to the public in May 2000.
